Is God Real? Yes! Does He Know Me and Love Me, Even in My Imperfections? Yes, Yes, Yes!
I have over 70 years of evidence of God’s love and guidance, power and patience.
Here is an example:
I woke up this morning at 3:30 am. My first thought was, “How does my Heavenly Father want me to spend my time? Should I pursue writing articles and making videos? If only I could get some feedback to know if my articles and videos are making a difference.”
Then I looked at my phone to see what time it was. There was a text from my sweet granddaughter (who didn’t know she was a direct answer to my prayer) to myself and her teen/adult cousins, sharing my latest YouTube video, encouraging them to watch it, calling it “powerful”.
I was so humbled and grateful for this evidence of God’s awareness, love, and guidance. I quickly got on my knees to express my gratitude. All I could do was smile and smile and say “thank you” several times.
God is powerful, gentle, merciful, nurturing and aware of each one of us.
God is tender, loving, and attentive.
Sometimes I have a “half hour of silence” or much longer in which I wonder why I’m not receiving clear answers from the Divine.
At times, I’m just not very good at listening.
At times I’m not obedient to the last thing He asked me to do.
At times my emotions get in the way and confuse me.
At times He simply trusts me to figure it out.
At times He wants me to ask better questions or more questions.
At times He wants me to “learn to be righteous in the dark.” (Brigham Young.)
Gratitude, in my opinion is the happiest, highest, and most sacred emotion. When I am grateful, even for hard things, I more easily see evidence everywhere of Divine love and power.
I love to give the Divine credit for every good thing in my life, every wildflower in nature, every smile from a stranger, every glass of water.
Even when we don’t “feel” grateful, we can still say, “thank you”. Just say it, and our gratitude will increase and we will eventually find ourselves saying, “I love life”. What if we were to say “thank you” 100 times per day? I invite you to try the experiment. It’s not hard.
Gratitude can increase our thoughts and feelings that God is real, knows us, loves us and always has our best interest in mind. Keep in touch with Him, daily, hourly, minute by minute. Look heavenward and ask if He is really there.
God IS real. He DOES know us and love us even in our imperfections. He will guide us if we let Him. Start by opening the door a crack and peeking in.
